In this study, we proposed a wearable device based on pulse transit time techniques with multimodal biosensors for noninvasive, cuff-less, and long-term blood pressure monitoring. The design of a wearable sensor system is proposed for measurements of different physiological signals. We further tested the proposed device using different estimation models with the combination of pulse transit time, heart rate, and radial impedance to enhance the blood pressure estimation accuracy. The model based on the magnitude of the impedance plethysmography performed better than the other estimation models. Furthermore, we demonstrated the continuous, long?term capability of the multimodal biosensor for blood pressure estimation via different exercise tasks. Our proposed estimation device is a promising approach for the convenient, reliable, and continuous monitoring of blood pressure and prediction of hypertension during exercise. |
