Fig. 4. Structure of the F-PAUSM system. (a) 2D front view of the F-PAUSM. (b) 2D left side view of the F-PAUSM. (c) 3D rendering photograph of the F-PAUSM. (d) Photograph of the entire F-PAUSM system. the F-PAUSM system provides a fast scanning method that integrates the scanning probe, which combines the optical resolution photoacoustic with ultrasound pulse-echo imaging and generates microvasculature in photoacoustic image and anatomical identification in ultrasound image. This system, with different scanning ranges relating to different B-scan frame rates, is suitable for different samples. We demonstrated the versatility of our system by imaging various samples in ex vivo and in vivo experiments. The versatility, low cost, stability, and image quality at high-speed demonstrate the potential of the F-PAUSM system for application in biomedical imaging. |
