The Energy Resources Institute (ERI) at Pukyong National University is one of the very few energy research institutes in Korea. ERI seeks to develop energy-related research and educational programs involving government, industry, and universities. The current research projects at ERT, among others, include: gas hydrate study in the Ulleung Basin, oil and gas potential in the East China Sea, geological CO2 sequestration, and geological evolution of the Ross Sea, Antarctica.
