Through creative research and education based on academic freedom,
we cultivate the qualified experts who are open-minded, responsible and
contribution to the regional society, the nation and the human beings.

The most substantial benefit of College of Environmental and Marine Sciences and Technology (CEMST) in PKNU is that it can support multifarious educational programs, bringing together the science and the engineering for the Earth, our planet. Our focuses on conserving earth and marine environments, creating sustainable spaces and energy resources, developing innovative marine sciences and technologies, and more have been invaluable for students’ education and regional industries, particularly regarding the future of the world.
We have four complex buildings for seven departments in PKNU, providing enough space for global education and research with students’ welfare. The research facilities and instruments that we have improved over the last 38 years will also play an important part in ensuring our college has an optimum environment for the future studies in earth science and engineering area. We now need everyone who is hearing our voice to make sure that all the people of Pukyong understand how important to keep this college viable, supporting the distinct quality that makes Pukyong National University education so cherished. When you have acquired a broad and deep perspective of marine and earth environment for a greater understanding of the Earth, the spirit of coexistence and communication towards other research groups together with fluent foreign language skills and expert knowledge, you will discover the true worth in academic areas.
Korea has been the major part of the economic, the academical and the cultural community of 2000s in the world. What is needed for our future is not only individual research such as marine and environment but also technical renovation and globalization that are linked with foreign language, the bioethics, the economics, and other areas of the humanities. CEMST will promote practical education and collaborated research even more than in the past to reach out the widest and farthest around the globe, earning the best reputation in both internal and external evaluations of university performances. We will do anything we have in our minds for the above objectives.
