▶ 논문 정보 (교신저자) 장웨, 이동주 (2026). 중국 동북 3성의 물류 및 관광산업이 지역 경제성장에 미치는 영향. 무역연구, 22(3), 571-585. ▶ 논문 초록 Purpose – This study examines the impact of the logistics and tourism industries on regional economic growth in Northeast China, while also analyzing the potential role of foreign direct investment (FDI) in this relationship. It aims to provide a more systematic understanding of how these two sectors contribute to economic development in regions undergoing industrial transformation. Design/Methodology/Approach – This research constructs panel data for major cities in the three northeastern provinces of China covering the period from 2000 to 2023. Regional GDP and FDI models are developed, and causal mediation analysis (CMA) is applied to empirically examine the mechanisms through which the logistics and tourism industries affect economic growth. Control variables are also incorporated to improve model robustness and ensure the reliability of the empirical results. Findings – The empirical results show that the logistics industry has a negative impact on economic growth in the studied region. In contrast, the tourism industry significantly promotes regional economic growth through foreign direct investment (FDI), indicating that tourism development helps attract foreign capital and thereby further supports economic growth. These findings highlight clear sectoral differences in the economic effects of service industries. Research Implications – These findings suggest that the northeastern region should further optimize its industrial structure, promote the coordinated development of the logistics and tourism sectors, improve the investment environment, and make full use of policy support to enhance the role of these industries in driving sustainable economic growth. |
